Hypnotherapy can be used to help change habits, addictions, weight control, smoking, phobias, fears, confidence, motivation, anxiety, stress, controlling pain and symptoms from illness. Recently hypnotherapy has been gaining in the medical world after a recommendation from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recognised hypnotherapy as a treatment for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
The physical effects during hypnosis are different for each person but my clients tell me that they feel comfortably relaxed, calm and focused.
It's a little like how you feel when you are day dreaming.
You won't be asleep. You may find that your thoughts drift but your subconscious mind is alert and focussed on all that is said.
After a session my clients tell me that they feel very light, like a weight has been lifted from them and that effect carries on long after the session has ended.
I get asked this question quite often, and the simple answer is yes, always.
Hypnosis has the capability to work for the majority of individuals, the most important thing to remember is that you must be fully committed to the process, as I am, and feel that you can place your trust in me, this is a team effort.
Hypnotherapy is effective, however results may vary and success is not guaranteed. Full client commitment is important.
